A property line dispute in Dutchess County escalated into violence when a man allegedly struck his neighbor with a string trimmer, leaving him with facial injuries, police said. The incident happened on Friday, May 15, when troopers responded at around 5 p.m. to a home on Holsapple Road in Dover for a reported disturbance, New York State Police announced on Tuesday, May 19. A 35-year-old man who was found with signs of physical injury in Paterson was later pronounced dead, authorities said. A man has learned how long he will serve time in prison for a violent hate crime in which he slashed a Jewish barber with shears while shouting antisemitic slurs in Westchester, prosecutors announced. A 37-year-old woman is behind bars after crashing into another vehicle while allegedly driving drunk, injuring numerous people and then running from the scene, said the Suffolk County Police.
