A Long Island restaurant started by two former bartenders and friends is further expanding its reach within the community and beyond by opening up its sixth location.
Tap Room, located in Jericho, opened on Thursday, Dec. 14, joining the pub’s five other locations.
The self-described gastropub serves up what it calls "elevated pub fare," such as burgers, tacos, salads, and more, alongside craft cocktails and a rotating 24 beers on tap.

Man Points Fake Gun At Woman, 3 Children, At Long Island Drive-Thru: Police
A Long Island man was arrested after he drew a fake firearm behind him in a McDonald’s drive-thru line, authorities said.
The incident happened on Sunday, Jan. 7 at the Hicksville McDonald’s, located at 805 South Broadway.
According to Nassau County Police, it was just before 10 p.m. when a 31-year-old woman and her three children, ages 12, 7, and 1, were waiting in the restaurant’s drive-thru line behind a red Hyundai operated by Nicholas Carpenzano, age 32 of Patchogue.
She told police she honked at Carpenzano, as he was not moving his car in the line.

One of two men accused in a brutal, unprovoked attack on a gay couple at a Long Island beach will avoid prison despite confessing to his role.
Thomas Gair, age 68, of Holbrook, pleaded guilty to assault and related charges in Suffolk County Court on Thursday, Oct. 19, stemming from the incident at Patchogue’s Mascot Dock.
Prosecutors said two women were at the beach on Mother’s Day 2023, watching the sunset and taking photos together, when Gair and another man, 40-year-old Joseph Kress, began making derogatory comments about their sexual orientation.
