Amazon Delivery Van Crashes Through Georgetown Apartment Building
You don't need to worry about porch pirates stealing your package if the delivery driver crashes through your porch. An Amazon delivery van smashed through the front wall of a leasing office at an apartment building in Georgetown on Monday afternoon, Feb. 5, authorities said. Police and firefighters were called to the Longview apartments at 9 Patriot Way just before 12:30 p.m. when the van careened through the front of the building. A most unexpected porch pirate was caught on camera making off with a Connecticut resident’s package of toilet paper recently. In a video that has since gone viral, Hartford County resident Kirstin Levine, of Bristol, posted a home surveillance video on social media that showed a bear sauntering up her family’s driveway with a missing Amazon package in its mouth on Monday, Aug. 23. 19: Most Still Visit Stores To Buy Groceries Rather Than Ordering Online, Survey Reveals
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic hasn’t kept food shoppers from heading to their local grocery stores, according to a new study. A newly released Harris Interactive/Toluna survey found that 70 percent of consumers are still buying their groceries in person, rather than utilizing online delivery options. In total, 1,047 people were polled between Thursday, April 9 and Monday, April 14.
