Authorities on Long Island are looking for a man who made advances on two young girls on Long Island – but ran away once he noticed one of the girl’s parents was nearby.
On Thursday, Nov. 30 in Westbury, the man, who appeared to be in his mid-40s, approached the two 14-year-old girls, Nassau County Police said.

A number of Long Island zip codes were ranked among top 50 places with the most expensive homes in New York state, according to a new report.
Stacker.com published the ranking on Tuesday, April 5, using the Zillow Home Values Index for all homes as of February of 2021.
At the top of the list is 11962 in the Suffolk County village of Sagaponack, which has a typical home value of $5,262,148, a value that is 1,390.4 percent above the typical value in New York, according to the report.

17-Year-Old Killed In Old Westbury Crash Between BMW, Bus
A 17-year-old was killed during a crash between a car and a NICE bus on Long Island.
The crash took place in Old Westbury around 2:50 p.m., Wednesday, March 9 on Glen Cove Road.
The male teen was driving a 2019 BMW southbound on Glen Cove Road in the vicinity of Hewlett Drive and crossed over the median, striking a NICE Bus, said the Nassau County Police.
The male bus driver, age 63, was traveling northbound on Glen Cover Road, police said.
As a result of the collision, the boy driving the BMW suffered severe head and body trauma, police said.

A man was convicted for his role in a pattern burglary ring that targeted homes in gated communities on the North Shore of Long Island.
Brayan Castano, 33, of Elmhurst, Queens, was convicted on Friday, Oct. 22 in a jury trial of seven counts of burglary in the second degree, attempted burglary in the second degree, and possession of burglar’s tools.
Castano was acquitted of one count of burglary in the second degree. The trial began on Monday, Sept. 20. The jury deliberated for just over a day before rendering a verdict. Castano is due back for sentencing Tuesday, Jan. 11.
