Two Queens residents are accused of conspiring to steal nearly $3 million from the bank accounts of a Long Island couple who vanished months ago.
Yinye “Roy” Wang of College Point and Roslyn, and Qiuju Wu, of Flushing, are charged with conspiring to defraud a financial institution, according to an indictment unsealed in Brooklyn federal court on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
The case centers on Old Brookville residents Peishuan Fan, 48, and JuanJuan Zwang, 44, who have been missing since late March, as Daily Voice reported.

Three weeks after a New York couple mysteriously disappeared, there’s still no sign of them.
Long Island residents Peishuan Fan, 48, and JuanJuan Zwang, 44, were last seen at their Old Brookville home at around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, March 30, according to Nassau County Police. Relatives reported them missing the following day.
Investigators have not ruled out any explanations, including whether the couple–who have sons ages 12 and 20–were abducted or left for political reasons, police told CBS New York.

On Wednesday, June 28, the New York Lottery announced that Greg Schwab of Old Brookvillen claimed his $1 million Powerball second-place prize from a February 6 drawing.

Two men were arrested for allegedly stealing a 2018 Mercedes Benz out of a Long Island driveway and leaving another stolen vehicle in its place.
