The Department says a lane closure is scheduled for Route 9A northbound and southbound between Route 117 and Stormytown Road in the Westchester County town of Ossining and the villages of Ossining and Briarcliff Manor. Man Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Northern Westchester This story has been updated. A male pedestrian was killed overnight after being struck by a vehicle in Northern Westchester. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 in Buchanan on Albany Post Road (Route 9A) between the railroad bridge and Bleakley Avenue near the Peekskill border. Officers from the Buchanan and Westchester County police departments, along with MTA Police, responded. Tractor-Trailer Crashes Into Route 9A Overpass A tractor-trailer backed up traffic for just over an hour after hitting a bridge overpass on Route 9A in Briarcliff Manor on Friday afternoon, according to police. The vehicle got stuck under the overpass around 2:30 p.m. and was stuck for about an hour before a tow truck could come and move it, Briarcliff Police said.
