Man Drove Drunk On Long Island Expressway With 10-Year-Old In SUV, Police Say
A 53-year-old man drove drunk on the Long Island Expressway with his 10-year-old son in the SUV. According to police, while on routine patrol, highway officers observed Chaojen Cheng, of Roslyn Heights, on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 6:20 a.m. operating a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder traveling eastbound on the Long Island Expressway at Exit 33 in Roslyn Heights failing to maintain its lane. Video: Know Him? Fairfield Porch Pirate Caught In Act
A porch pirate in Fairfield County was caught red-handed on a doorbell camera stealing packages from an area home in a video released by police investigators. Police investigators in Fairfield are attempting to locate a suspect who was caught on a Ring doorbell camera making off with packages from the front porch of a Rowland Road residence. After stealing the packages police said that the man then fled the scene in an older model gold Nissan Pathfinder. Woman Gives Birth To Baby Girl In Backseat Of Speeding Car On LI Expressway, Police Say
A mother and newborn baby are both safe after the baby was delivered overnight inside a speeding car on the Long Island Expressway. According to police, a highway supervisor observed a speeding 2019 Nissan Pathfinder on the Long Island Expressway at about 12:20 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29, Nassau County Police said. The Supervisor stopped the vehicle to conduct a vehicle and traffic law investigation. SUV Crashes Into Parking Garage Wall, Injuring Five At Cross County Mall
An SUV crashed into a parking garage wall, temporarily shutting down a bulk of the parking garage and hospitalizing five at the Mall at Cross County in Yonkers. Shortly after 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, a Nissan Pathfinder struck a boundary wall head-on in the garage, officials said. Five people were injured in the crash - including one in critical condition - who were all taken to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx for treatment. Fire Risk Leads To Recall Of More Than 200K Nissan Cars, SUVs
Nissan is recalling more than 200,00 vehicles that could get a little too hot to handle. Nissan announced the recall of 215,000 vehicles that may have anti-lock brake problems that may prompt actuator pumps to leak brake fluid onto internal circuit boards, causing fires. The recall is similar to one in 2016. The recall comes after Nissan received a complaint in January about an illuminated ABS warning light in a car that had been repaired during the 2016 recall.
