A Bronx man is behind bars after New York State Troopers say he was caught with a stolen gun and a staggering amount of drugs during a traffic stop on I-87 (the NY State Thruway).
The arrest happened on Wednesday, Dec. 18, around 1 p.m., when Troop T Troopers from SP Tarrytown pulled over a 2018 Nissan Rogue for vehicle and traffic law violations in Greenburgh (Westchester), police said.
The driver, identified as 27-year-old Maximilian X. Blevins, was in possession of a stolen loaded SCCY Industries 9mm firearm from North Carolina, along with a large quantity of illegal drugs, police said. …
Long Island Man Arrested After Threatening Officers With Knives, Police Say
A Long Island man was arrested after allegedly threatening police officers with two knives after being involved in a domestic dispute.
The incident took place around 10:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 19 when Southampton Police responded to a call from a woman saying she was involved in a domestic dispute in Hampton Bays.
Several Southampton officers, detectives, and New York State troopers responded to the Hampton Bays residence, said Lt. Susan Ralph, of the Southampton Police.

State Of Emergency Includes Ulster, Six Other NY Counties
A state of emergency has been declared by Gov. Andrew Cuomo for seven New York counties, including Ulster, as a winter storm continues to impact the region.
Cuomo made the announcement on Monday, Dec. 2, as the storm dumped eight to 12-inches of snow in some regions, including the Mid-Hudson.
In addition to Ulster, the state of emergency includes Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Schenectady, and Saratoga counties.
The governor has also activated 300 members of the National Guard to assist with snow removal and clean-up operations.

'We Are Closely Monitoring Path Of The Hurricane,' Cuomo Says As Dorian Takes Aim On US
As Hurricane Dorian continues to make its way toward the East Coast, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo says he is “closely monitoring” its path.
A State of Emergency has been declared in Florida, with upwards of 12 inches of rain possible. Dorian, upgraded to a Category 3 hurricane on Friday, Aug. 30, is now expected to make landfall in the West Palm Beach, Florida area either late Monday, Sept. 2 or early on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
