4 Injured In NJ Transit Bus Crash A bus driver and three passengers were injured when a New Jersey Transit bus was rear-ended in Trenton, authorities said. At 11:21 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, the #601 bus was traveling on Mulberry Street and was slowing down to stop at the railroad crossing next to Route 1 when a vehicle rear-ended the bus, Trenton police said. The four crash victims were taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center all for reported back pain, police said. Ax-Wielding Man Pepper Sprayed By NJ Transit Police In Hoboken A 45-year-old man wielding an ax was pepper-sprayed by NJ Transit police officer at Hoboken Terminal on Wednesday, Oct. 25, authorities said. Joseph Dietz, of Hillsborough, was brandishing a large camping style ax and aggressively advancing toward a fleeing man, New Jersey Transit police said.  Officers positioned themselves between Dietz and the fleeing man, police said. Dietz refused to drop the ax, forcing officers to deploy pepper spray to deescalate the situation, police said. NJ Transit Train Strikes Car On Jersey Shore A New Jersey Transit train struck a car on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. At 7:32 a.m., North Jersey Coast Line train 3224 crashed into the car at the Bethany Road crossing in Hazlet. The car's motorist was not hurt.  No injuries were reported to the approximately 150 customers or the crew on board at the time. The train departed Long Branch at 7:10 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive at Penn Station New York at 8:41 a.m. Customers from train 3224 were being transferred to a following train.  New Jersey Transit Police are on scene leading the investigation.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 7, NJ Transit Police were notified by Woodbridge police that an adult male had jumped from the Metropark Station parking garage, they said.
