Miguel Alfinez, of Hartford, was found fatally shot in the 300 block of Broadview Terrace shortly before 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12. Paramedics rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors could not save him, police said.
Xavier Soto, 34, has been charged with murder and several other crimes, according to Hartford police.

A Vernon man is behind bars after police charged him with the killing of a 38-year-old Hartford resident.
Xavier Soto, 34, is charged with murder, criminal use of a firearm, risk of injury to a child, and first-degree reckless endangerment, Hartford Police said.
Officers were called to the 300 block of Broadview Terrace around 6:50 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, after reports of gunfire, according to Hartford police. At the scene, officers found Miguel Alfinez, who was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.

A Herndon man is dead after police say he was rammed off the road and gunned down in Virginia.
The deadly shooting happened around 5:03 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15, on Fantasia Drive near Dranesville, according to Fairfax County Police.
When officers arrived, they found Irfan Syed, 45, of Herndon, shot in the upper body. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
