The incident took place near Hampton Bays a little after 7 p.m., Monday, Aug. 1. According to the Southampton Police, patrol units responded to the area after receiving a call from the MTA that a pedestrian had been struck by a train.  The train stopped west of Hillstation Road where the person was found dead on the eastbound side of the tracks, police said. Woman Found Shot Dead Inside Car In South Baltimore: Police Authorities are investigating after a woman was found shot dead inside a car overnight in South Baltimore. Baltimore police were notified by MTA police about a shooting victim in the 3400 block of South Hanover Street around 5:22 a.m. on Sunday, May 29, Baltimore police said.  Upon arrival, officers located the female victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound inside a vehicle, police said. The incident took place around 9:30 p.m., Monday, June 7, when the man was struck by a train at the Amityville station, said MTA officials. The man was removed to the hospital alive with leg injuries after being struck. Some 115 commuters on the train, the 9:12 p.m. out of Babylon to Penn Station, were safely moved to another train, while the track was de-energized to remove the injured man. The MTA Police are investigating the incident but said that no criminality was involved during the incident.
