Hunterdon County Corrections Officer Sexually Assaulted Child For Years: Prosecutor
A Hunterdon County corrections officer has been accused of sexually assaulting a child for several years, authorities said on Thursday, March 30.
Jared Green, 35, of Pohatcong Township, was charged with five counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, three counts of second-degree sexual assault, four counts of second-degree child endangerment, and two counts of criminal sexual contact, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson announced.

Man Stole $40K In Jewelry, Electronics From Walmart Stores In Suffolk County, Police Say
A 34-year-old man is facing grand larceny charges after police said he stole more than $40,000 worth of jewelry and electronics from Walmart stores on Long Island.
Jonathan Sunderland, of Hempstead, is accused of using a specialized tool to open locked display cases at the stores, the Suffolk County Police Department reported.
He was identified by investigators and arrested at about 12:10 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9, at the Morris County Jail in New Jersey, where he was being held on similar charges from the Boonton Township Police Department, police said.

Man Was Paid To Steal More Than $6K In Wiring From Warren County Home Depot, Prosecutor Says
An Essex County man admitted to being paid $500 to shoplift more than $6,000 worth of electrical wiring from a Warren County Home Depot store, authorities said.
Ronald McKenzie, of Quaback Avenue in Irvington, is accused of shoplifting spools of electrical wiring from Home Depot in Mansfield Township during two incidents in July 2022, Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer said in a release with local officials on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
The amount shoplifted totals approximately $6,200, Pfeiffer said.

Cops Use ‘Find My iPhone’ To Nab Suspect Who Sped Off In Stolen Car During Morris County Stop
A suspect who fled from police in a stolen vehicle was later found with help from Apple’s “Find My iPhone” function.
Justin Leuzarder, 39, was stopped for speeding on Route 10 in Denville around 4:25 a.m. on Sunday, August 14, police said.
Leuzarder, of Morristown, sped away as the officer was heading back to his patrol vehicle, initiating a brief chase that was quickly terminated because his identity was already known, police said.
Leuzarder’s vehicle was found a short time later near Dover-Chester Road in Randolph, where it was found to have been stolen out of Sea Girt, police said.
