CT Man, 77, Admits Sexual Assault Of Minors, Receives Years Behind Bars
A Connecticut man was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual assault of a minor.
New Haven County resident Robert Bendel, age 77, of Meriden, was sentenced Wednesday, Jan. 10, by Judge Thomas O'Keefe to eight years in prison followed by 10 years of probation.
In addition, Bendel is required to register as a sex offender, maintain no contact with minors, and obey two standing criminal protective orders.
There were two victims in this case, one was under 10 when these incidents occurred and the other was under 16, Meriden Police said.

Central PA Man Restrained, Sexual Assaulted Child, Police Say
A central Pennsylvania man "unlawfully restrained a minor" and sexually assaulted them, authorities say.
48-year-old Eduardo Montalvo was arrested on Dec. 2 at 10:19 a.m., Harrisburg police announced on Monday, Dec. 5.
On Aug. 8, a warrant was issued for Montalvo in connection with an incident two days prior. He was charged with three felonies for unlawful contact with a minor - sexual offenses, indecent assault- without consent of another, and unlawful restraint of a minor, and one misdemeanor for corruption of minors, according to his latest court docket.

21-Year-Old Accused Of Raping Minor In Hudson Valley
A 21-year-old man has been charged with the rape of a minor in the Hudson Valley.
Connecticut resident Axell Enrique Orellana Flores, of Waterbury, was arrested on Monday, Nov. 7, in connection with an investigation into inappropriate sexual contact involving a minor, said Capt. John Watterson, of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.
Flores is accused of having sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 17 in the town of Fishkill on Sunday, Nov. 6, Watterson said.
