Fatal Crash: 31-Year-Old From Medford ID'd As Victim Near Coram Intersection
A 31-year-old has been identified as the victim of a fatal overnight crash near an intersection on Long Island.
It happened just after 10:05 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16 in Coram.
The victim was walking in the roadway of Middle Country Road, near Martin Street, when he was struck by an eastbound 2011 Cadillac SRX4, Suffolk County Police said.
The man, identified as Evan Espinosa, age 31, of Medford, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Cadillac, a 38-year-old man from Port Jefferson Station, was not injured.

30-Year-Old Charged With DWI After Fatal Coram Crash
Police have arrested a man for driving while intoxicated after he was involved in a crash that killed a person on Long Island.
It happened in Coram around 11:50 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 6 on Middle Country Road.
According to Suffolk County Police, Derrick Kindle, age 30, of Middle Island, was driving a 2008 Nissan Sentra eastbound on Middle Country Road, east of Country Club Drive, when he struck Gerald Smith, age 68, of Farmingville.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Officers at the scene determined Kindle was driving drunk and placed him in custody…

A 30-year-old man was arrested after police say he crashed a car with four child passengers into an SUV on Long Island.
The crash happened in Coram at about 7:35 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
Yonnel Ricketts, of Middle Island, was driving a 2022 Dodge Challenger west on Middle Country Road, near the intersection of Country Club Drive, when the car veered into the center turning lane and struck a 2014 Cadillac SUV driven by a 38-year-old Coram man, SCPD reported.

Two suspects have been apprehended after a man was found shot to death in a wooded area on Long Island.
Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct officers responded to the area in Coram behind 50 A Middle Country Road, after a person found a man shot just before 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2.
The victim, Branzel Bonner Jr., age 25, of Shirley, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
