Wife Airlifted, Husband Injured After Single-Vehicle Mastic Crash
A husband and wife were both injured in a single-vehicle crash overnight on Long Island.
It happened around 9:55 p.m. Friday, June 24 in Mastic.
Justino Lopez, age 43, of Mastic, was operating a Kawasaki motorcycle with his wife as a passenger, heading northbound on Titmus Drive, when the vehicle crashed near Ardmour Drive, Suffolk County Police said.
Danielle Lopez, age 35, of Mastic, was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Father, Daughter Wanted In Girl Scout Cookie Scam Targeting Local NY Residents
Police in New York are reporting they have received at least 11 complaints from residents who said they gave to buy Girl Scouts cookies that were never delivered.
The incidents on Long Island were reported to Suffolk County Police between Saturday, June 18, and Monday, June 20, the department said.
Police say the alleged cookie scam took place in the following communities: Lake Ronkonkoma, Bohemia, and Patchogue, to Shirley to Mastic.
The money was given to a man who accompanied a young girl during some of the incidents, and in others, the girl was alone, police said.

ID Released For Man Struck, Killed By Flatbed Truck Near Long Island Intersection
Police have identified the man killed in a crash near a Long Island intersection overnight.
The crash happened just before 9:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23 in Blue Point.
The man, now identified as Joseph Coleman, age 60, of Bayport, was walking with a bicycle on Montauk Highway, near Atlantic Avenue, when he was struck by a westbound flatbed truck, Suffolk County Police said.
Coleman was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue where he was pronounced dead, said police.

Four Charged After SLA Inspection At Overcrowded Port Jefferson Bar, Police Say
A total of 15 people are now facing charges after an overnight New York State Liquor Authority inspection at a Long Island bar that was overcrowded, police said.
The raid happened around 12:15 a.m. Saturday, March 26 in Port Jefferson, at Curry Club at SaGhar, located at 111 W. Broadway, Suffolk County Police said.
The person in charge of the bar, Indu Kaur, age 47, of East Setauket, was charged with employing unlicensed security guards, an unclassified misdemeanor.
