A less expensive store for a luxury fashion chain is coming to a shopping center in Monmouth County. Nordstrom Rack will open up a store in spring 2025 at the old Bed Bath & Beyond location in Manalapan Commons. The retail chain announced the plans in a news release on Tuesday, Feb. 13. Man Sentenced In Jersey Shore Cocaine-Dealing Ring
A Monmouth County man will spend several years in prison after he was part of a cocaine-selling network throughout New Jersey, authorities said. Mark Capichana, 56, of Keyport, was sentenced on Friday, Feb. 2 to 14 years in prison, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced. Capichana received two seven-year sentences that will run consecutively after entering a guilty plea. Capichana was arrested as part of "Operation Checkmate," an investigation between June and October 2021. A patrolman at the Jersey Shore has been arrested and charged with engaging in a pattern of illegal behavior with a teenage girl, authorities said. Kevin Ruditsky, 46, who works in Manalapan Township, is believed to have sent the 16-year-old girl sexually explicit photos and handcuffed her during a traffic stop, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. An ex-convict from the Jersey Shore has been sentenced in connection with a large-scale cocaine-dealing operation, authorities said. Dale McCord, 45, of Manalapan Township, was sentenced to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Marlboro police released the name of the driver who died on Monday after her car toppled a telephone pole and collided with a parked U-Haul truck. Donna Piegaro, 53, of Spotswood was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which closed Route 9 southbound for more than nine hours from Old Bridge to Manalapan Township, a Marlboro police spokesman said.
