Man Dies From Apparent Drowning In Lynnfield Pool An apparent drowning is under investigation after an adult male died in a swimming pool, officials say.  A 911 call reported a possible drowning in a swimming pool on Northway in Lynnfield around 3:45 a.m. on Monday, June 26, according to a joint statement from the Lynnfield Fire and Police Departments.  First responders arrived at the scene and found an adult male who had apparently drowned in the pool.  CPR was administered at the scene and the victim was transported to the Lahey Clinic Hospital in Burlington. The operator suffered fatal injuries.  Police officers and firefighters from Lynnfield responded to the scene.  This incident is under investigation by the Lynnfield Police and the State Police.

Lynnfield Family Displaced By 2-Alarm Early Morning Christmas Fire: Officials A family of five was displaced after a fire broke out at their Lynnfield home in the early morning hours of Christmas, officials said.  Crews responded to the fire in the basement of 190 Summer Street around 1:50 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 25, according to the Lynnfield Fire Department on Facebook.  Upon arrival, crews saw heavy smoke coming from the basement and around the chimney as the flames had spread up the first and second floors. A firefighter was taken to the hospital while battling the flames as well.  The fire at 22 Jackson Lane started just after 11, the Wakefield Fire Department said, though officials did not release the cause of it. Heavy smoke billowed out of the two-story home, and flames had eaten away at the back of it when crews arrived on the scene.
