A third person has been arrested for his alleged role in a home invasion in Fairfax County late last year during a violent robbery, police announced on Thursday.
Cartier Wesley, 24, of Lorton, is the latest to be implicated in the crime that landed Elijah Thomas, 24, and Jaquan Ross, 32, behind bars for a December robbery in McLean.

Woodbridge resident Brian George Sayrs, Jr., 28, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for the murder of 72-year-old Emily Lu in 2021.

A pair of Fairfax County women were arrested after police say they stole credit cards from locker rooms at local gyms and then went on shopping sprees.
Sumaya Mendez, 30, of Lorton, was a member of OneLife Fitness on Old Keene Mill Road in Burke, and brought Rayan Hassan, 25, of Annandale, as a guest last month, Fairfax County police said.
Between Jan. 24 and 29, multiple gym goers reported credit card thefts. Surveillance footage from multiple businesses captured both Hassan and Mendez using the stolen credit cards for purchases.

Charges have been filed against a 53-year-old driver who was speeding before a crash that killed a 27-year-old motorcyclist in Fairfax County, police said.
Gael Cruchet, 53, of Ashburn was driving the 2016 Acura TLX well above the posted speed limit when they struck Zafeer Piracha, of Lorton, on Rt. 28 in Centreville on Friday, Nov. 27, police said.
Piracha was ejected from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene.
