Fort Lee PD: Ex-Con Busted With Pills, Imitation Gun, Cash
An ex-con from Fort Lee was busted with dozens of prescription pills, an imitation handgun and more than $5,000 in illicit proceeds, authorities said.
Francisco Holguin, 32, was the subject of an investigation that eventually led to his arrest outside his apartment on Main Street between Jones Road and Maple Street, Fort Lee Police Capt. Edward Young said.
Holguin was charged with drug and weapons offenses, including being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

A Newark Uber driver and his buddy from the Bronx were nabbed after a four-month-long investigation that yielded 15 pounds of pot, $165,000 in luxury goods and more, police said.
Javier Ortega, 40, of Newark, NJ, and Severiano Ybert Perez, 42, of Bronx, NY, were arrested on Tuesday, July 12, Kearny Police Chief George King said.
The investigation all started with two burglaries reported in one multi-family home on Argyle Place on Feb. 27, police said.

Man Who Skipped Sentencing In Fatal N. Bergen Hit-Run Captured
The former Hudson County corrections officer who failed to appear for his sentencing Friday on two counts of death by auto has been arrested, a law-enforcement source told Daily Voice Monday.
Michael Hansen, 40, was expected to receive a sentence of 20 years after pleading guilty in June. Instead, the proceeding was delayed when Hansen, who had been allowed to remain free, did not show up. A warrant was immediately issued for his arrest.
