Levittown Teen Pleads Guilty To Murdering Neighbor In Violent Burglary, Authorities Say
A Long Island teenager pleaded guilty to murder in the death of a 64-year-old woman, according to online court records.
Jose Olaya, 18, copped to second-degree murder and burglary charges on Tuesday, Sept. 8, the records show. His sentencing hearing is set for Wednesday, Oct. 28.
Olaya is likely to get 12 years behind bars, Newsday reported Tuesday. Prosecutors asked for a 14-year term after Olaya waived his status as a juvenile offender.

An 88-year-old woman has been identified as the victim in a Ulster County homicide investigation that resulted in a murder charge against a 15-year-old boy, authorities said.
The victim, killed in an incident in Saugerties on Sunday, June 7, was identified by the Saugerties Police Department on Thursday, June 11, as Elena Bonjolo, 88, who lived on West Camp Road.
According to police, Bonjolo was killed sometime between 9:25 a.m. and 1:52 p.m. on Sunday.
