Batch Of Bogus Bills Seized, Couple Busted In Rochelle Park Stop
More than $2,000 in counterfeit 20s and 50s apparently intended for a Bergen County shopping spree was seized by Rochelle Park police during a traffic stop, authorities said.
Officer Chris Kiszka pulled over the Hyundai Genesis on dead-ended Lexington Avenue off Cliff Street after the driver committed multiple traffic violations shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, Capt. James M. DePreta said.
Empty prescription bottles and other paraphernalia were in plain view, the captain said.
The driver, Wade Wallace, 37, of Trenton also had a suspended license, DePreta said.

Fatal Crash: Shoreham 54-Year-Old ID'd After Car Hits Pole, Tree In Port Jefferson Station
Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that left a Long Island man dead overnight.
It happened around 12:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 20 in Port Jefferson Station.
The victim was driving a 2012 Hyundai Genesis southbound on Route 112, near Washington Avenue, when he lost control of the vehicle, which struck a telephone pole and a fire hydrant, and then crashed into a tree, Suffolk County Police said.

Three Suspects Who Robbed CT Man In Broad Daylight On Run, Police Say
Police are searching for three suspects who allegedly robbed a man while he was sitting in his vehicle in Connecticut.
The incident took place around 11:10 a.m., Thursday, July 15, in Ansonia in the area of Wakelee Avenue and Pork Hollow Road, Lieutenant Patrick Lynch said.
According to Lynch, the three men approached the victim after he parked on Pork Hollow Road, two were armed with handguns, and the suspects stole personal items from the victim.

A driver sped off after hitting a 68-year-old bicyclist Monday afternoon in Harrington Park, authorities said.
The victim, from Hawthorne, was headed south on Livingstone Street at Closter Road -- between Norwood and Closter -- when he was struck shortly after 1 p.m., Police Chief Albert Maalouf said.
The Harrington Park Volunteer Ambulance Corps took him to Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, the chief said.
Harrington Park police, meanwhile, were searching for the gray Hyundai Genesis, which fled south on Livingston Street, Malouf said.
