Red Hook Man Trying To Escape Capture Almost Hits Cop, Police Say A Red Hook man is behind bars after trying to run down a Town of Poughkeepsie police officer who had stopped to investigate a vehicle, according to Town of Poughkeepsie Police. Stewart A. Klein, 30, was originally approached around 6 p.m. Monday when an officer approached his red Chevy S10 pickup truck parked in the area of Innis Avenue, police said. When the officer approached, Klein put the car into reverse and almost hit the officer, said Town of Poughkeepsie Capt.
