A hairbrush left at the crime scene helped police tie two suspects to the brutal stabbing and robbery of a Long Island man, authorities said.
Jordan Dekie, age 21, of Huntington, and Emily Tague, age 19, of Northport, are each charged with attempted murder in connection with what investigators describe as a failed plot to rob and murder a Huntington Station man.
According to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, the victim called 911 on the evening of Monday, Dec. 12, 2022, saying he had been stabbed inside his car after giving Dekie and Tague a ride to Dekie’s home in Huntington. …

Lloyd Harbor Teen Seriously Injured In Huntington Crash Involving Intoxicated Driver: Police
A Long Island teen was charged with driving while intoxicated after an 18-year-old passenger was seriously injured when a luxury SUV crashed into trees and a pole overnight, according to authorities.
The crash happened around 1:15 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 in Huntington.
The teen, Maxwell Hawkinson, age 18, of Cold Spring Harbor, was driving a 2021 Jaguar F-Pace northbound on West Neck Road, south of Clearview Street, when the vehicle crossed into the southbound lane, struck a tree, a utility pole, and a second tree, Suffolk County Police said.

New ShopRite Opens In Huntington Commons Shopping Center
A new supermarket has opened for business on Long Island.
The ribbon-cutting and grand opening event for the new ShopRite in the Huntington Commons shopping center was set for 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, representatives announced.
The 65,000-square-foot store, located at 839 New York Ave. in Huntington, is opened and operated by Seth and Jon Greenfield.
The supermarket offers an in-store Nuts Factory kiosk with specialty nuts, a kosher bakery, along with seafood, meat, produce, and floral departments, representatives said.
