Weekend North Jersey Motorcycle Crashes, Fatalities Pile Up: Route 280, Route 3, Elsewhere
Several weekend motorcycle crashes in North Jersey – including at least one fatality – began Friday when a Newark motorcyclist was killed on Route 280. Charles L. Henderson III was ejected when his motorcycle overturned on the westbound highway in Roseland, New Jersey State Police said. Henderson was pronounced dead at the scene, State Police said, adding that no other vehicles were involved. Tenafly Pedestrian, 86, Hit By SUV Driven By Englewood Motorist, 84
An 86-year-old Tenafly man was hospitalized after he was struck by an SUV driven by an 84-year-old Englewood woman, authorities said. The victim was crossing Riveredge Road in Tenafly near the Stop and Shop driveway about 200 feet west of West Railroad Avenue when the Honda CR-V hit him shortly before 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Detective Capt. Michael deMoncada said. The driver stopped immediately and remained there, deMoncada said. Comedian Tracy Morgan had just driven his 2012 Bugatti Veyron off a Manhattan lot when it was sideswiped by another vehicle on Tuesday, according to multiple reports. "Thanks for any concern but I am totally fine. My NEW CAR? We shall see," Morgan tweeted a short time later. "Love you all."
