Woman Killed After Vehicle Fire Breaks Out On Long Island
A woman was killed and a man injured after a vehicle fire broke out overnight on Long Island.
The vehicle, a 2002 Ford Econoline van, was fully engulfed, in Coram on County Road 83, just north of Pine Road, when emergency responders arrived at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18.
The victim, a passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. Her name is being withheld pending positive identification.

Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and injured two others at a Long Island shopping center.
It happened overnight at the Tiffany Plaza in Farmingville.
A group of people were involved in a fight in the parking lot, located at 1075 Portion Road, when one person fired shots at around 3 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, Suffolk County Police said.
Three men were struck.
Jorge Mauricio Sevilla-Barrara, age 28, of Farmingville, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Man Shot, Killed In Garage Of Long Island Home
Police are investigating the shooting death of a man that occurred at a Long Island home.
It happened around 11:55 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27 in Huntington Station.
A group of people were in the garage of the home at 57 Murdock St. when another group of people, at least one of whom was armed with a gun, walked up the driveway, Suffolk County Police said.
The occupants of the garage closed the door and a shot was fired from the driveway, through the door, striking Louis Lombardo, said police.

Three Killed In Shooting Inside NY Residence
Police are investigating a shooting that killed three people inside a residence in New York.
The incident happened on Long Island just after noontime on Friday, July 23 in Suffolk County.
Officers responded to 132 Overlook Drive in Farmingville after a family member called 911 at 12:06 p.m., police said.
Officers found Richard Castano, age 31, and Diamond Schick, age 24, both residents of the house, and Nyasia Knox, age 20, of Georgia, dead from gunshot wounds, police said.
A baby was found inside the house, unharmed.

Vehicle Flees Scene After Long Island Woman Is Fatally Stabbed, Police Say
A suspect is at large after a Long Island woman was fatally stabbed overnight.
A Holtsville resident of Woodlawn Avenue heard a woman calling for help. The resident found the woman, who was stabbed, on Woodlawn Avenue and called 911 at approximately 8 p.m. Thursday, July 22, Suffolk County Police said.
A vehicle fled the scene, according to police.
The victim, Sandra McIntosh, age 46, of Medford, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
