Suspect Comes Forward After Hanover Man Shot In Chest During Argument (Update)
The suspect in a Hanover shooting has come forward and is cooperating with police, authorities announced on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024.
The update follows a shooting that occurred at an apartment building in the 100 block of Broadway on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, where a 34-year-old Hanover man was shot in the upper chest during an altercation with his neighbor, Hanover Borough Police said.
The victim was transported to York Hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries, police reported.

250-Pound Man Wanted For Raping VA Girl He Met Online: Police
A 26-year-old Maryland man is being sought for raping a girl he met on social media, authorities in Virginia said.
Dimas Alexis Lazo, of College Park, met the girl on a social media app and arranged to meet at a home in Woodbridge, Prince William County police said.
Lazo was found sexually assaulting the girl inside of the home by a family member who intervened on Nov. 26, 2023, around 12:30 a.m., county police said.
Lazo fled the home and has been charged on warrant with rape. He's described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’8”, 250lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.
37-Year-Old Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train In New Haven
A 37-year-old man was struck and killed by a train in New Haven.
The man was found dead around 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, along the tracks behind the New Haven Fire Department's training academy on Ella T. Grasso Blvd., said Aaron Donovan, a spokesman for the MTA.
An investigation determined that the man -- identified as Hispanic -- was struck at approximately 6:15 p.m. by Amtrak Train No. 140, which is the 12:25 p.m. departure from Washington, D.C., scheduled to arrive at Springfield, Massachusetts, at 8:03 p.m., Donovan said.

Suspect On Loose After Bank Robbery In Farmingdale
A suspect is at large after a bank robbery on Long Island.
The man entered TD Bank in Farmingdale, located at 90 Broadhollow Road, at around noontime Wednesday, Nov. 23, and handed a teller a note demanding cash, Suffolk County Police said.
The teller complied and the robber fled on foot, according to police.
The man is described as light-skinned Hispanic, approximately 5-foot-10 with a thin build, police said.
He wore sunglasses, a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with "Wild Cats" written across the chest, and gray sweatpants, said police.
