A teenager has been arrested and charged for a car crash that killed a child and injured five others, himself included, police announced.
On Tuesday, Aug. 8, Nassau County Police announced that 18-year-old Jorge Bonilla Gutierrez of Freeport was arrested in connection to an Aug. 7 West Hempstead incident.

Woman Kicked, Injured Officers During Arrest On Long Island, Police Say
A woman is accused of assaulting police officers during an arrest on Long Island.
Angel Alexander-Adolphe, age 23, was arrested Saturday, June 11, in West Hempstead, according to Nassau County Police.
Officers were responding to a disturbance on Hempstead Turnpike near Oakland Avenue at around 1 a.m. when they found Alexander-Adolphe and a 25-year-old man in a physical altercation, police said.
When they attempted to arrest her, she began resisting, injuring an officer on his knee and leg, according to police.

Two men were arrested for possession of a weapon after they were allegedly found in a stolen Mercedes-Benz on Long Island.
Jamaine Hayes, age 19, of Queens Village, and Tyquan Marcelin, 24 of Elmont, were arrested in West Hempstead around 8:18 p.m., Monday, Feb. 8, by the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, officers responded to a call of a stolen vehicle in the area of 490 Hempstead Turnpike. When officers arrived, they located the stolen 2016 Mercedes-Benz with a man sitting in the passenger seat.

Teen Trio Nabbed For Long Island Motel Robbery, Police Say
Three teenagers are facing charges after allegedly robbing two other teens at a Long Island motel, police said.
The three suspects entered a room at the Capri Motor Inn on Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead at approximately 12:40 a.m. on Monday, July 20, police said, demanding cash, clothes, and cellphones, Nassau County Police said.
Police said that the three teens pulled weapons on their 18- and 19-year-old victims, and when one of them attempted to pull a gun away from one of their attackers, he was stabbed by one of the three teens.
The teens then fled in a 2007 Cadilac Escalade.
