1-Year-Old Rescued From Locked Car In Hudson Valley As the temperatures soared to 98 degrees, police in the Hudson Valley rescued a 1-year-old boy from a locked car. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, at the Costco parking lot in Nanuet. According to Det. Norm Peters of the Clarkstown Police, an officer, found the child's father outside the vehicle who said he had accidentally locked the door with the boy inside.  Peters said the officer who could see the boy in the back seat immediately broke the vehicle window. Kristen Danielle Graham, of Seaford, had been caring for the child — whose mom is 17 years old — for two days, York County Sheriff Ron Montgomery said. Earlier this month, Kuno, a member of the Forest Heights Police Department who partnered with Sgt. Grooms for years, died in the line of duty assisting the Prince George's County Police Department during a call for service. Kuno was the original, longest-standing K9 in the department. The cause of death was determined to be heatstroke while searching a school building for a burglary suspect. Valerie Pinchinat, of Linden, was indicted for third-degree neglect of an elderly or disabled person., they said.  The indictment was returned by a grand jury on Wednesday, May 11, according to Acting Attorney General Matthew J.
