Police To Ramp Up Roving Patrols, Sobriety Checkpoint Over Holiday Weekend
With one of the busiest driving weekends of the year fast approaching, local and state law enforcement agencies in Connecticut have plans to ramp up special enforcement details during the Memorial Day Weekend holiday. Police will be out in force during Memorial Day Weekend, targeting everything from motorists traveling too fast or while impaired, to those not wearing seatbelts or violating vehicle and traffic laws. Eversource Launches $80M Tree Trimming Project
Eversource has invested $80 million in tree-trimming projects across 4,000 miles of electric lines in Connecticut this year. That money will help the company remove hazardous trees to make the Eversource service more reliable to customers, the utility said in a news release.
