An area man has pleaded guilty to the murder of another man outside of a popular restaurant and sports bar.
Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler announced on Tuesday, Nov. 9, Jamaad Murphy, age 27, of Wallkill, pled guilty to murder in the second degree in connection with the fatal shooting of a man outside of a Town of Wallkill nightclub in November 2019.

A PA man pleaded guilty to eluding, assault by auto and various weapons offenses after leading police on an armed North Jersey chase ending with a crash that injured three people.
Demarcus A. Caldwell, 35, led New Jersey State Police on a high-speed chase through Bergen, Passaic, Morris, Somerset, and Hunterdon counties before crashing into two vehicles on Route 78 in Clinton Township and injuring three people, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson said.
Caldwell, of Bethlehem, was found with a 9mm handgun when he was taken into custody.

An Allentown man charged with killing his mother and sister in 2018 has entered a guilty plea, authorities announced.
Zakiiy Carson, 37, on Tuesday pleaded guilty but mentally ill to two counts of murder in the third degree, according to Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin.
Carson called 911 himself on Oct. 28, 2018, and told dispatchers he had shot his mother and sister, identified as Newark, NJ natives Latricia Ezell and Ashley Campfield, authorities said.
