Woman Arrested For Fatal Stabbing Of NY Attorney
A woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing an attorney from Long Island to death in his New York City office after he reportedly refused to take her case.
Zhang, Xiaoning, age 25, of Queens, was arrested on Monday, March 14, for stabbing and killing Nassau County resident Jim Li, age 66, of Great Neck, said the NYPD.
Li, a prominent Chinese dissident who took part in the Tiananmen Square movement, turned immigration lawyer, was found stabbed around 11:44 a.m., when police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress inside of 136-56 39 Ave., said the NYPD.

A Long Island doctor has admitted to sending Medicare bills for millions of dollars for procedures that were never performed.
Morris Barnard, age 58, of Great Neck, pleaded guilty on Monday, March 7, to health care fraud, according to Breon Peace, United States attorney for the Eastern District of New York.

Pedestrians Killed In Crash ID'd As Long Island Residents
Two pedestrians struck and killed by an SUV in New Jersey before dawn have been identified as Long Island residents.
A Honda SUV was traveling in the eastbound lanes when it struck Richard Dennelly, age 73, and Maria Schellberg, age 55, both of Great Neck, near milepost 1.8 in Knowlton Township in northwestern New Jersey just after 3 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, NJSP Sgts. Philip Curry and Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice.
Both victims were killed in the crash, Curry said.
