Golf Cart Goes Up In Flames At Course In Pomona A golf cart fire sent plumes of smoke up into the air in Rockland County over the weekend. The blaze happened just before 11:20 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Phillip J. Rotella Memorial Golf Course in Pomona, according to the Thiells Fire Department. Arriving fire crews were able to quickly put out the flames. No injuries were reported.  Photos released by the department showed the cart with heavy damage.  The cause of the fire was not immediately available.

Woman Dies After Fall From Golf Cart In Monroe County: Coroner A West Virginia woman died after falling from a golf cart in Middle Smithfield, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.  Brenna Abbinanti, 35, of Mount Clare, died from blunt-force trauma to the head on Friday, July 12, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg, officials said.  The accident happened a week earlier on Saturday morning, July 6, on the 6000 Block of Timothy Lake Road, according to the coroner. She was reportedly a passenger in the golf cart.  Pennsylvania State Police are investigating, the Coroner's Office added.

New York State Police arrested Ulster County resident Etienne Dodge, 31, of Wawarsing, on Thursday, Nov. 12, for the theft which took place on Thursday, Nov. 5, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
