A 25-year-old man has been hit with assault charges after attacking a victim in the parking lot of a Northern Westchester mall, police said.
The incident happened on Sunday, July 30 around 1:30 a.m., when police responded to the parking lot of the Jefferson Valley Mall in Yorktown on a report of a domestic disturbance.
According to Yorktown Police, the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Michael Caterino of Yorktown, punched out the window of the victim's car, opened the door, and began hitting the victim's face.

Trio Steals Multiple Tires, Rims From Long Island Dealerships, Police Say
Three men accused of stealing multiple car tires and rims from Long Island dealerships have been arrested.
Chase Barret, age 33, of Astoria; Eldorado Sterling, age 29, of Queens; and Jovanie Clarke, age 29, of Queens, were arrested on Sunday, April 2 following a traffic stop in Woodbury, according to Nassau County Police.
Officers spotted them at around 2 a.m. in a white Ford Econoline van traveling on Jericho Turnpike. The vehicle had been involved in multiple previous larcenies, police said.

A man who broke a restraining order by contacting a female, throwing a cooler through her window in the process, was arrested on a warrant months after the incident, according to police.
The initial incident took place on Friday, June 12 on Malden Avenue, according to Saugerties Police.
