DEA, Norwalk Police Investigation Leads To 17 Warrants, Large Amount Of Drugs, Cash, Cops Say
A large amount of drugs and cash were seized, and numerous arrest warrants were served following an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Agency and local police in Fairfield County.
The warrants were executed in Norwalk and Darien on Monday, April 29, by the Norwalk Police, Stamford Police, Darien Police, US Marshals Service, and the Bridgeport Office of the DEA.
According to Lt. Tomasz Podgorski of the Norwalk Police, the busts were the result of a 6-month investigation into fentanyl trafficking in the greater Norwalk area.

Twenty-six people including 18 Virginia residents were federally indicted in a fentanyl and firearm-trafficking operation.
The charges were brought as the result of Operation Lights Out, an FBI-led investigation in partnership with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.

Two men from Maryland are facing federal charges after they were allegedly busted selling thousands of fentanyl pills in Connecticut.
Prince George's County residents Oscar Flores, 34, of Mount Rainier, and Severo Alelar, 25, of Hyattsville, were indicted by a federal grand jury in Hartford, Connecticut on Thursday, Sept. 22, for fentanyl trafficking.
The indictment came just weeks after the pair was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 8 following a sting operation in Wethersfield, the US Attorney’s Office in Connecticut said.

The sister of a Connecticut street gang leader will spend time in prison for her role in a fentanyl trafficking ring, federal officials announced.

A U.S. District Court magistrate judge ordered that Nysifah Deaveareaux, 27, and Caron J. Abrams, 26, and Shamir Williams, 25, remain in federal custody while the case proceeds.
Federal agents caught Abrams with 200 bricks – more than 9,000 folds – of both heroin and fentayl during what was to be a deal in the parking lot of the Home Depot on Dayton Avenue in Passaic, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito said.

Five From Connecticut Among Six Nabbed For Fentanyl Trafficking Ring Bust
Six people have been nabbed for allegedly being part of a large-scale, elaborate heroin and fentanyl trafficking organization that has been broken up, according to U.S. Attorney for Connecticut John Durham.
Durham announced that the six, five of whom are from Connecticut, were arrested on federal narcotics distribution and money laundering charges for their role in the drug distribution ring, which operated throughout the state of Connecticut.

Stamford Trio Accused Of Trafficking Counterfeit Oxycodone Pills With Fentanyl
Three area men, two of whom were extradited from Albania, are facing charges for allegedly trafficking counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl from China and selling them on the dark web.
Stamford residents Arber Isaku, 28, David Reichard, 30, and Vincent Decaro, 29, appeared in Bridgeport district court on Wednesday, April 24, and pleaded not guilty to drug trafficking charges, U.S. Attorney John Durham announced.
Durham said that the indictment was returned on Aug. 7 last year. Decaro and Isaku, who were extradited from Albania, appeared in court on Wednesday.
