'Now He Will Pay': Man Who Murdered Pregnant Wife On Long Island Sentenced
A Long Island man who strangled and killed his estranged wife – who was pregnant with his child at the time she died – will spend over two decades behind bars, police said.
Michael Owens, age 30 of St. James, received his 25 years to life sentence for the murder of Kelly Owens on Thursday, Jan. 11, according to the Nassau County District Attorney.

Men Faked Mass Armed Robberies So 'Victims' Could Get Immigration Protection: FBI
Two New York men are accused of staging at least eight fake robberies so the store owners could receive immigration benefits, authorities said.
Long Island resident Rambhai Patel, age 36, of Farmingdale, and New York City Balwinder Singh, age 39, of Queens, are charged with conspiracy to commit visa fraud, the U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts said. FBI agents said they linked the men to four robberies in Massachusetts, two in Pennsylvania, and one in Kentucky and Tennessee.

New Legal Marijuana Dispensary On Long Island Sets Opening Date
The second legal, adult-use dispensary on Long Island has a tentative opening date, officials said.
Happy Days Dispensary, located at 105 Route 109 in Farmingdale, is slated to open Saturday, Dec. 23, according to an announcement by Gov. Kathy Hochul — though that date isn't set in stone, the governor clarified.
