'Small Explosion' At CDC Facility Near Pittsburgh: Officials
A "small explosion" happened at a Center for Disease Control and Prevention facility in Pennsylvania on Friday afternoon, July 26, a spokesperson with the CDC told Daily Voice. Two Dogs Died In Central PA House Fire
Two dogs died in an explosive house fire in central Pennsylvania, on Monday, July 25, authorities say. A fire crew was called to the scene of a house on fire in the 7100 Block of Chambershill Road around 2 p.m., Middletown Volunteer Fire Department said. Ammunition in the home reportedly caused the explosions witnesses and neighbors heard, according to dispatchers. Authorities were trying to determine why an unoccupied Mercedes sedan exploded Thursday morning in Hawthorne. No one was injured in the 10:45 a.m. blast and fire on Lafayette Avenue, which was quickly doused by township firefighters. The blast damaged a sign at a nearby business.
