The advisory was issued Thursday, Aug. 15 at noon to American Water customers across Little Falls and Woodland Park. The advisory was the result of emergency repairs to a water main break on Notchcroft Drive in the Great Notch area of Little Falls.  Any water to used for drinking or cooking should be brought to a rolling boil for one minute. According to the outage map for Jersey Central Power & Light, 13,688 customers had no electricity as of 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 27. More than 13,000 of those affected were living in Barnegat or Waretown. The huge limb fell Tuesday night on Lockwood Drive, taking utility wires with it. The street was temporarily closed for repairs. PSEG replaced the wires and a shade tree service chopped up the limb and hauled it away Wednesday morning.
