2 Women Charged, 1 For Prostitution, After Raid At Huntington Station Spa
Two women are facing charges, one for prostitution, after a raid at a Long Island spa.
In response to numerous community complaints, authorities conducted an investigation into Twinkling Spa Inc. in Huntington Station, located at 1783 New York Ave., at approximately 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24.
Minhua Guo, age 32, of East Setauket, was charged with:

Boat Explosion: East Setauket Woman Seriously Injured At Smithtown Bay In Stony Brook
Two people were injured, one seriously, in a boat explosion on Long Island.
It happened Saturday, Aug. 5 at about 6 p.m. in Stony Brook.
A 54-year-old East Setauket man was operating his boat, a 2003 Sea Ray Sundancer, in Smithtown Bay, traveling from Sunken Meadow State Park to Stony Brook Marina, when it stalled, Suffolk County Police said.
An explosion occurred on the boat a short time after it was restarted.

A mother and daughter who went missing in New York have been found.
Alexandra Hill, age 38, was last seen with her daughter, Chloe Sokolinski, age 3, leaving her father’s Long Island home where she was staying, in East Setauket, on Wednesday, April 19 at 8 a.m., Suffolk County Police said.
On Saturday evening, April 22, Suffolk County Police reported that the two "have been located and are unharmed."

A Long Island man was busted with guns, ammo, and drugs when sheriff's deputies served an "extreme risk" domestic violence order.
The incident took place around 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 4, in East Setauket, said the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office.

A veritable cache of weapons, ammunition, and drugs were seized by law enforcement agents on Long Island who served an Extreme Risk Protection (ERPO) order, officials announced.
Suffolk County Sheriff Sgt. Paul Spinella said that shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4 in East Setauket, investigators executed the order, which led to a massive seizure of guns and drugs.

Woman Killed, Man, Infant Injured After House Fire Breaks Out In Suffolk County
Police are investigating after a woman was killed and a man and an infant were seriously injured during a Long Island house fire.
Suffolk County Police responded to the fire just after midnight on Friday, Feb. 18 at 360 Old Town Road, in East Setauket after receiving a 911 call.
According to police, Stephen Ortner, a resident of the home, was able to escape through a second-floor window onto a roof ledge and hand his 10-month-old son to a passerby below, who then handed the child to rescuers. Ortner was then able to climb down to the ground.

Police detectives are investigating a string of overnight burglaries that occurred at Long Island businesses.
The burglaries happened from Thursday, Sept. 23 to Thursday, Oct. 7 in Suffolk County.
During the "smash-and-grab" burglaries, a man breaks a window or glass door, enters the business, and steals cash, said police.
