Crews Battle Early Morning Barn Fire In Berks County A barn in Bally Borough caught fire around 2 a.m. Monday, July 15, according to the Eastern Berks Fire Department.  The fire at the barn, located off South 7th Street, reached two alarms, authorities said. The barn contained hay and equipment but all the dairy cows on the property were in another structure and were not harmed, the department said.  Eastern Berks Fire Dept. Motorcyclist Killed After Striking Tree In Berks County: Troopers A 27-year-old motorcyclist died after an accident in Earl Township on Sunday, April 14, Pennsylvania State Police say.  Codey Prindle of Boyertown was headed south on Longview Road around 6:30 p.m. when his bike drifted into the gravel off the right shoulder, according to troopers.  He struck a tree and a mailbox and was fatally injured, authorities said.
