Prime delivery it was not.Authorities are asking for help in locating an Amazon delivery driver accused of hitting a customer’s house with their car and then fleeing. The incident happened in Commack, at a residence on Hayrick Lane, at around 8:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16. Suffolk County Police said the delivery driver pulled their Chevrolet SUV into the customer’s driveway but forgot to set the parking brake. A Long Island man driving a U-Haul truck was charged with alleged DUI in Fairfield County after he passed another vehicle and struck it. The incident occurred in the town of Wilton on Wednesday, July 31, on Danbury Road (Route 7). According to Lt. The porch of a duplex caught on fire on Thursday, July 25, Ephrata police explained in a release the following morning. The fire broke out at the duplex in the first block of North Church Street at 7:37 p.m., police detailed in the release. "Police and fire officials determined that the fire was not suspicious and that the origin of the fire was a cigarette ash can on the back porch," as stated in the release. NJ Student Drivers Need More Practice Hours Under New Law
A new law will require student drivers in New Jersey to spend more time learning behind the wheel before they can get a license. Gov. Phil Murphy signed a bill on Monday, Jan. 8, that requires student drivers 21 years old and under to spend at least 50 practice hours with an adult. The law also requires at least ten hours to be completed at night. Parents or other adults must certify the practice driving hours were completed.
