New Cafe Opens At Delaware Plaza Featuring Breakfast, Burgers, Greek Specialties
There's a new cafe in the region serving everything from eggs and breakfast staples to Greek specialties.
In Albany County, Delaware Cafe opened on Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 180 Delaware Ave. in Delmar. It's the former location of the Delmar Bistro Space.
The restaurant announced the opening on its website.
The menu includes all of the typical cafe fare: farm-fresh eggs; pancakes; and toast, along with burgers, sandwiches, chicken tenders, and chicken souvlaki.
Delaware Cafe is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day but Tuesdays, when the restaurant is closed.

When it comes to getting a quality education in the Capital Region, one school district is a cut above the rest, according to a new report.
In Albany County, the North Colonie Central School District in Latham was ranked No. 1 in the Albany metro area, according to Niche’s new 2023 rankings.
The district received an overall grade of A+, with high marks in the categories of academics, teachers, college prep, and clubs & activities.

A runner has been disqualified following a collision at a turkey trot in upstate New York that has since gone viral on social media.
The Thanksgiving Day incident occurred Thursday, Nov. 24, in Rensselaer County, at the Troy Turkey Trot 10K race in Troy.
Video posted on Twitter shows Xavier Salvador, of Washington, DC, and Jack Huber, of Delmar, vying hard for 4th place as they approach the finish line.
The pair are seen nearly shoulder to shoulder as they near the end of the race, when Salvador suddenly veers to his right, colliding with Huber, who had tried to pass on the same side.

Issues At School Caused Missing NY Teacher 'Heartache,' Brother Says In TV Interview
As the search for a missing New York woman in Western Massachusetts hits the one-month mark, her brother says an incident at the high school where she teaches caused her "heartache."
Albany County resident Meghan A. Marohn, age 42, of Delmar, hasn't been seen since Sunday, March 27 when she was on a trip in Western Massachusetts.
Her vehicle, a black 2017 Subaru Impreza, was found in Berkshire County in the town of Lee parked on Church Street at Longcope Park, a heavily wooded hiking area in south Lee, said the Massachusetts State Police.
