Linden Dad Called Relatives Before Killing Wife, Kids, In Murder-Suicide: Police
A Linden dad called relatives to say he'd shot his wife and two teen children, before turning the gun on himself over the weekend, authorities said.
Police performing a welfare check at Krzysztof Nieroda's 18 Chatham Pl. home around 9:30 a.m. Sunday found him, his wife Justyna, 41, his son Sebastian, 14, and his daughter Natalie, 13, suffering gunshot wounds Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel and Linden Police Chief David Hart said.

Fairfield County Man Nabbed For Hit-Run Crash, DUI, Police Say
An area man was charged with allegedly hitting two vehicles and leaving the scene of the crash while driving intoxicated.
The incident took place around 10:30 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 10, in Fairfield County when New Canaan Police were dispatched to the area of Main Street on a report of a vehicle that struck two parked cars and left the scene of the crash.
Through witness statements, responding officers obtained a registration plate for the wanted vehicle, which identified David Hart, age 45, of New Canaan, as the owner of the vehicle.

PA Man Charged In Armed Robbery Linden 7-Eleven
A Pennsylvania man has been charged in the 2017 armed robbery of a Linden 7-Eleven, authorities said Thursday.
Ibin Bryant, 32, of Glen Lyon, PA, handed a note to the clerk at the E. Edgard Road store demanding she open the register while brandishing a black handgun from his pocket around 10 a.m. Dec. 2, 2017, Linden Police Lt. Christopher Guenther said.
The clerk, a 20-year-old woman from Elizabeth, was not hurt, Guenther said.
