Two Connecticut residents — including a 17-year-old boy — are among four people accused of kidnapping and violently assaulting a victim who was allegedly held against their will inside a New York home. The disturbing incident began on Saturday, May 31, when troopers received reports of a possible kidnapping in Clinton County. Reading Officer Acquitted Of Manslaughter In 2018 On-Duty Shooting Of Unarmed Man
A jury acquitted a Reading police officer on Monday, Nov. 21, in the shooting death of a 43-year-old unarmed man while responding to reports of an assault in 2018. He is the first officer in nearly 30 years to face a jury for an on-duty killing. Officer Erik Drauschke was charged with manslaughter in the killing of Alan Greenough. The Ocean County community of Bay Head is mourning the loss of one of its first responders to coronavirus. David Clark, 47, died Saturday of complications related to COVID-19,, the Bay Head Fire Company announced on Facebook. He had been hospitalized for two weeks.
