Nearly 5 Million Pounds Of Chicken Products Recalled
A massive recall of frozen chicken is underway after metal complaints triggered a federal safety alert. The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said Saturday, Oct. 25, that Hormel Foods Corporation is recalling about 4,874,815 pounds of ready-to-eat frozen chicken products distributed to hotel, restaurant, and institutional customers nationwide. The company traced the problem to a conveyor belt. No injuries have been confirmed.
