Woman Killed When Car Overturns In Pocono Mountain Region: Police
A Cresco woman was killed when her car overturned along a curve in Barrett Township, Pocono Mountain Regional Police announced on Monday, April 7.
Linda Knecht, 63, was driving a 2007 Chevy Malibu when she failed to negotiate a curve on State Route 447 near Gravel Road around 7:17 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, police said.
Her vehicle overturned, ejecting her from the car, authorities detailed. Knecht was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Barrett Township Fire Department, Pocono Mountain Regional EMS, and the Monroe County Coroner’s Office assisted at the scene.

A 43-year-old man has died days after a crash with a utility pole in the Poconos, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.
Rowland Matthews, of Dreher Township, Wayne County, struck a utility pole on Route 191 about one mile south of Pocono Plateau Road in Cresco, Monroe County, the coroner's office said.
The crash happened at 3:44 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, according to the coroner's office.

Pennsylvania native and devoted uncle William Aaron Brosky died unexpectedly in Baltimore, Maryland, on Tuesday, Aug. 30. He was 33.
A native of Cresco, Pennsylvania, Aaron graduated from Whitehall High School in 2007, his obituary says.
Aaron went on to pursue auto detailing and worked at several different car dealerships throughout his career, according to his memorial.
