A Connecticut neighborhood is on high alert after police say a man tried to lure an 8-year-old girl into his car while she was playing outside her home. Christopher Rosa, 37, of Waterbury, was arrested and charged in connection with the Sunday, March 23, incident, according to police. The girl was playing in the front yard of her Columbia Boulevard home in Waterbury when she said a man pulled up and tried to get her into his car. She refused. The Bloomingdale School District and local police are investigating text message threats targeting a middle school. Around 11 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, the district received reports of text messages sent from an unknown number threatening a schoolwide attack at Walter T.
