Bridgeport Nightclub Closed After Police Find Guns, Liquor, Fire Violations
A popular Fairfield County nightclub has been closed after officials allegedly found several fire and alcohol violations.
The VIP Lounge, in Bridgeport, located on Pembroke Street, was raided by police and state liquor officials around 2:30 a.m., on Saturday, March 26.
"This immediate area has been plagued with police calls for service related to noise complaints, felony assaults, narcotics violations, and homicide," said Capt. Kevin Gilleran, of the Bridgeport Police.

Second Suspect Nabbed For Fatal Shooting Outside Club In Fairfield County
A second man has been apprehended for his alleged role in the shooting death of another man at a nightclub in Fairfield County.
Kadeem Frazer, age 28, of Bridgeport, was arrested for his role in the Saturday, Oct. 2, murder of Jonathan DaSilva at the VIP Lounge on Pembroke Street.
Frazer was driving the vehicle, as Robert Sorrells, who was arrested on October 21, fired the shots that killed the victim from the passenger’s seat of Frazer’s car, according to Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for the City of Bridgeport.

ID Released For Man Struck, Killed By Car In Bridgeport
A Bridgeport man killed after being hit by two vehicles trapped underneath one, has been identified.
Antoine Simutone, also known as Aaron, 38, of Park Avenue, was hit at 8:45 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Park and Olive streets, said Av Harris, the City of Bridgeport's director of legislative affairs/public policy.
When officers patrolling the area came on the scene they found a 1997 Toyota Corolla pinning Simutone on the northbound travel lane of Park Avenue.
