'Our Village Is Broken': Remembering Chesterfield Dad Killed In Snowmobile Crash
A 37-year-old father of daughters is being remembered as a devoted, hard-working man who touched the lives of everyone he knew following his death earlier this week.
Derek Graves, of Chesterfield, died in a snowmobile crash around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, according to the Northwestern District Attorney's Office.
An avid snowmobiler, Graves, who also has ties to Northampton, crashed near Smith Road in Chesterfield. Emergency responders performed CPR at the scene, and paramedics rushed him to Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, where he later died, the DA's office said.

Nor'easter: Scattered Power Outages Being Reported In Massachusetts
The first Nor’easter of the season led to scattered power outages throughout Massachusetts as the worst of the storm is yet to arrive in the region.
Nearly 1,000 Massachusetts residents were without power as of 1:25 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26, according to National Grid and Eversource.
National Grid was responding to 37 active outages impacting 529 of its customers, while Eversource had 130 of its 221,118 Western Massachusetts customers reporting outages.
According to Eversource, outages were being reported in Chesterfield, Greenfield, and Richmond.

Missing 13-Year-Old Girl Found
As night fell, so too did the hopes among firefighters and volunteers that they were going to find a missing 13-year-old girl.
On Wednesday, Dec. 2, at nearly 6 p.m. Goshen Firefighters and members from nearby towns, canvassed the area around Fuller Road in Chesterfield to assist Massachusetts State Police Troopers in finding a missing girl.
The girl, age 13, had last been seen on Fuller Road near the Chesterfield/Goshen town line wearing lightweight clothing, Goshen Firefighters said.

Covid-19: Where Are The Hot Spots? Town Infection Rates, Trends - Hampshire County, August
Positive COVID-19 test rates in Amherst, Easthampton, Granby, Northampton, South Hadley, and Williamsburg are at the highest they’ve been over the last four weeks, according to new state data.
Meanwhile, Belchertown’s 14-day COVID-19 positive test rate is going down. The rate went from 3.6 percent to 2.7 percent in one week.
