Paramus Catholic Teacher Dies At 67
The Paramus Catholic High School community is mourning the loss of teacher Helen Bottari, who died on Monday, June 29. She was 67 years old. Bottari had been a dedicated member of the Paramus Catholic faculty since 2010, where she was known for her compassion, wisdom, and commitment to Catholic education, school President Chris Farrell said. Bottari was born in the Bronx and raised in Blauvelt, NY. She graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas College after attending Albertus Magnus High School and spent many years in education before joining Paramus Catholic in 2010, according to her obituary…

Jersey City Catholic School Shutters Citing Declining Enrollment
A Catholic school in Jersey City announced last month it is closing down and will not reopen in the fall. The Archdiocese of Newark is closing St. Nicholas Catholic School, which serves students from Pre-K to 8th Grade, citing declining enrollment and increasing fiscal challenges. A private Catholic high school in Middletown will close permanently at the end of the school year. The Board of Trustees made the decision to close after deep deliberation and amid continued support for Mater Dei Prep, school officials said. Board Chair Kathryn A.
