Bus Hits Pedestrian In North Philadelphia: SEPTA One person was hospitalized after being struck by a bus in Philadelphia's Hunting Park on Monday night, May 27.  SEPTA said it happened near the corner of 13th Street and Erie Avenue around 9 p.m. The pedestrian was hit by the left side mirror of a Route 56 bus, according to transit officials.  "The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition, however, the injuries are reported to be non-life threatening," a spokesperson said.  No one on the bus was injured, they added.

Long Island School Bus Crash: 7 Students Injured After Vehicle Hits Patch Of Ice, Tree Seven students ranging in age from 7 to 19 sustained injuries after the bus they were riding in hit a tree after hitting a patch of ice. The crash occurred in Mill Neck around 8:20 a.m. on Frost Mill Road. According to Brookville Police Supervisor Frank Discala, the bus, which was traveling to the Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf, hit a patch of ice, and hit a tree.  There were nine people on the bus, including the driver and aide, and the seven students, Discala said. The crash into the side of a house occurred at about 7:15 a.m. on Asbury Road. Lt. Christian Antunez, a Howell Police Department spokesman, said the driver was injured but no children were on board. Bus Topples Traffic Pole In Weehawken A bus carrying 45 passengers took down a traffic light pole in Weehawken Wednesday, April 12, NJ Transit officials said. The bus, operated under contract by Coach, struck the pole at Willow Ave and 19th Street around 6:10 p.m., officials said. None of the 45 customers on the No. 84 route bus were injured. Weehawken police were leading the investigation.

Man Killed After Being Struck By Bus On I-95, CT State Police Say Police are investigating a fatal crash on a stretch of I-95 in Connecticut. It happened around 8:20 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12 in New London County, on the northbound side near Exit 89 in the Town of Groton. A bus was traveling in the right lane of two lanes when it struck a pedestrian, according to Connecticut State Police.
